Husband to the late Annie Patricia "Pat", Dad to Stephen,Terry,Tracy and Sharon ,Grandad to 11 children and Great-Grandad to 17 children.

Dad was the eldest Child of Jim and Flo with brothers Paddy, Terry and his late sister Beryl. Dad was loved by all, he served his country at the age of 18 years and was sent to Egypt to the Suez Canal and was 1 of only a few of his regiment that returned. I'm extremely proud that the MOD decided to honour those at the Suez Canal and awarded them a special medal for his time in the war. Dad had a saying after leaving the war if mum asked him to do somethings "I did that in the army". Before being sent to war he met my mother Pat at the age of 16 and stayed together till the end 67 years. He gained 12 in laws when they married. They moved from London to Swindon in 1956 to set up a new life together with the start of our family. Dad worked as a plumber, before starting many years in Press Steel and then Crosby doors. Dad was a stickler and the quiet one out of the 2, with mum always making the decisions etc and running the house, working and family stuff. Dad didn't get annoyed that much but when he did you knew it and he'd have the ump and he would stick by his morals and was pretty much easy going otherwise. He found it hard these last few years as health for both was not good but they stuck together through it all, our family extended beyond what he thought it would when he met my mum all those years ago. Their together again now and we have the memories but the tears will flow for a long time, the memories will help and help us smile again.
Bless you dad xxxxxxx
Love Sharon

Knowing we were loosing mum in June just gone was still very hard. You struggled and missed her badly, but the shock of you going is hard . Loosing you both in 5 months is very difficult and hard to understand as you was getting through one day at a time. My only comfort is that your together again back as one . Always in my heart and dreams love you both always xxxxx
