Christopher Slatford (26 Feb 1946 - 28 Jun 2024)

So sad to hear about losing an old school friend. We had great fun as teenagers .
Chris was so good at imitating the teachers with his voice,what was said and facial reactions
that they often smiled before they threw the board rubber at him.(usually missed)
Although he moved up North he remained an ardent Brentford Football Fan.
I have asked Brentford to screen his name with other Brentford fans lost in 2024
I need to check what match they will do that also I sent a photo which with others they will put
Up somewhere round the ground for while as fans lost sadly in2024

Chris was an amazing man and brought so much joy to many lives. I feel very fortunate to have known him and called him a friend, I will cherish many happy memories with him forever.

I still look in to the Laugher on my way home in an afternoon. The expectancy of seeing you sat there is now replaced with, sadly, seeing an empty chair at Slatford Junction. I'll always look in regardless, and raise a smile in your memory. Rest in peace Chris. xx

Chris I can’t describe how much I’m missing you… I miss the daily conversations we used to have & the “surprise” chocolate on a Wednesday lunch time.
Have them clippers ready for me lad because you’re going to need a trim when we meet again.

I knew your father very well and we were drinking partners in the OWB for nearly eight years. He was one of the best friends that I have ever had and I never heard him say a bad word about anybody. We were often compared to 'Statler and Waldorf' from the Muppet Show and Chris was a very funny but subtle man! We sometimes talked about old age and infirmaty and I know for sure that he would not want to have been incapacitated for any length of time. He was a caring loving man who often talked about his family.I shall miss him very much.

Every time I walked past Old White Bear he was there to give me a smile and a wave. Will never forget you Chris. X
