Dear Roger.
It was an honor to walk the Macmillan Way West with you in remembrance of Sue and I'd do it again for you, if anyone else wants to. Maybe it's time to publish your blog - 'a life in four parts'.
You and Sue were a great couple and made for each other and I had the privilege of being mates with Sue since the 1970s. I missed her a lot and I'll miss you too. The world has lost a traveller, a caver, a raconteur, a musician, and i have lost a friend and an altogether remarkable man. Xxx

So it's goodbye Roger. Having known him since 1966, when we sang our way through many a pub and caving trip, it is very sad to hear of this decline via cancer. Roger was an excellent friend and companion. Stuck up in Scotland with failed hips, I am unable to attend the funeral, but will be thinking of him on the day. 'They Words' does not express it, but keep playing Rog - and shocking the angels!

  • Now at peace with Sue again. Both lived life to the fullest, made many friends and enjoyed the best of times together. Bath rugby will not be the same without their most ardent supporter. Rest in piece. xx
