In loving memory of Evelyn Brailsford who sadly passed away on 7th June 2024.
Beloved wife to Colin, mother to Karen & Tara, sister to Gwen & Harold.
A very talented handcrafter, making beautiful hand painted, hand sewn, embroidered, knitted and crocheted items of exquisite detail. All with such modesty. She loved baking, reading, being in nature, spending time with friends and family. She loved all animals, always had a dog, and supported animal charities when she could. She always put others before herself.
She led a fulfilling life, having worked as a nanny, a bus conductor, a seamstress and a carer, living in and around Nottingham, with a joyful 15 years living on a narrowboat travelling the British waterways. She enjoyed family holidays in Cornwall, and later exploring further abroad - Tenerife, Turkey and Malta being favourites.
Admitted to hospital on 7th June with stomach pains, sadly this was caused by a blocked bowel, which quickly led to sepsis. She passed away with Colin holding her hand.
Lynn was a wonderful person, interested, caring and humorous and will be greatly missed by all.
