In loving memory of Keiron Lian Fagan who sadly passed away on 15th June 2024, aged 46 years.
Keiron was a beautiful young lady and was taken too soon but she will remain prominent in our thoughts and hearts.
Keiron was born at Colchester General Hospital on 3rd September 1977 to loving Mum Shauna.
Keiron was ‘little sister’ to her older brother Jason and her older sister Tara, and the three siblings all grew up very happily in the family home in Stebbing, North Essex.
Dad to Keiron was Morgan, Keiron would often remark (over many years) how good Morgan had been as a father and mentor, often remarking with gratitude at having received helpful advice from Morgan on matters such as Maths homework and problem solving (and receiving an introduction to Spoonerisms).
Keiron’s Grandad Ken moved to France in his later years and the family enjoyed occasional holidays there, creating fond memories that Keiron would often share with us in subsequent years.
Keiron attended Stebbing Primary School in Essex and went on to Helena Romanes Comprehensive in Great Dunmow where she first met and was friends with Rick.
Soon after this period Rick moved from Great Dunmow to Stebbing with his family and Keiron and Rick became a couple.
Rick and Keiron were together for thirty years, they moved to Suffolk and had three sons – Liam the eldest, Lewis and Finley the youngest. The boys will miss their Mum, but she will be forever in their hearts.
Keiron’s work fell into three neat phases: she initially spent some years as a dental nurse, and then ten years or so as a hands-on mother and then latterly exceeding fifteen years of service at the Tesco as well as continuing to be Mum.
Keiron was a generous, vibrant person who could turn her hand to many art and craft activities. Keiron was also a keen gardener and especially enjoying bright colours.
Keiron will be very sadly missed.
Keiron’s encounter with cancer was not enough to end the vibrancy of Keiron’s life and she fought bravely against the disease for eighteen months, coping with spinal surgery, chemo’ and radio therapies.
It is a well-known tradition that those reaching five rounds of radiotherapy are entitled to ring the customary bell at the hospital. Unfortunately, Keiron was unable to ring that bell at the hospital on the day after her 5th round and this is partly why we hope to hear the Church bell on the day of her funeral.
