Very sad news Des was a character. My last contact with Des was by phone with a query that had arisen on selling his house. An hour he was on the phone, and at the end I still was none the wiser as to his query.Des had a way with words xxx

I worked alongside Des for more than 10 years, he was a rarity, a real character, insightful with a dry sense of humor, he will be greatly missed I'm sure by very many.
