Lionel Cecil Petyt (19 Nov 1936 - 12 Jun 2024)

With fondest love and gratitude for the life of Lionel, dear friend from his youth, together with Penny, to our mother and father Pam and David Teager. I remember him as a man of warmth, integrity and good humour. Our love to all the family from Tolga and Kathryn Kashif and from Andrew and Sue Teager

The photo on this site is exactly how I will remember Lionel- a big smile and a generous heart. Love to all the family and friends and trusting that 'the everlasting arms' will be a real comfort to you all.

I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Lionel. Such a lovely Godly man. He was always such an encouragement to me in my ministry at Buckhurst Hill Baptist and more recently at Loughton BC. He will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to Penny, Rich, Jayne, Katie and Alice and Liz John , Sam and Seb and other members of the family I don't know. I have so many happy memories of spending time with you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you at the sad time. Lesley

Lionel was a wonderful friend and a brilliant Grandfather to our joint grandchildren Sam and Seb Start. We will all miss him and send our condolences to Penny and his family.

It was a privilege to know Lionel and hear his seafaring stories. We will miss seeing him on his visits to Liz and John.
