This photo was taken in 2015 at Beamish Museum on an open top bus. Another time we went on an open top bus tour was at Haworth Yorkshire. Alan caused a bit of a panic that day with the Conductor, when he claimed he'd lost his toupee.

We all had so many great times with Alan, both at work on the railway and on a number of jolly boys outings. Alan had this great sense of humour, was always fun to be round and will be sadly missed.

This was taken around 2008 and is a typical Alan photo showing his unbelievable sense of humour. All of us who had the privilege to have worked with him on the railway will sadly miss him.
