In loving memory of Philip Burrough who sadly passed away on 30th May 2024.
Phil was the heart of a loving family with his wife Jean, daughters Jane and Ann, Sons-in-Law Ben and Nick, and five Grandchildren: Ella, Thomas, Emilie, Harry and Evie.
The youngest of four children, Phil was born in Beckenham, Kent, and later lived in Reading, before moving to Liss Forest, where he spent the rest of his happy days with his family and dear friends. He was immensely proud of his long career as an industrial chemist with RFD and Mann Industies.
Philip was a truly loving husband, father and grandad, who was just so supportive and proud of all his family. He was also a committed and caring friend, who really valued the many people who touched his life. He will be remembered for his kindness, positivity and friendliness, and will leave a huge gap in our lives. We are all missing him terribly but know he will always be with us, and that he is now reunited with his beloved Jean.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks by raising money for the Rosemary Foundation.

So sad to hear of Phil's passing. I was lucky enough to spend a lovely afternoon with him, at a friend's party, where he spoke so fondly and proudly of his family, showing me photos of his grandchildren and wife, Jean. Such a lovely man! Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Seldom have we met such a lovely man. Phil was such a warm and genuinely friendly person and was always so very kind to my Grandma and Grandad as was Jean. We fondly remember their visits, an absolute pleasure to have known them both.

Our sincerest condolences to Phil's family and friends.

We only knew Phil for a short while as Liss Forest neighbours. He always spoke fondly and proudly of his family and always stopped for a chat. I’m glad he is reunited with his wife and our condolences go out to his family.

We send our love and best wishes to Jane and Ann and families. As Jeans twin sister and Brother in law we shall miss Phil enormously. We had some lovely happy times together. I won’t forget his enthusiasm for enjoying doing different things .holidaying in the Yorkshire dales he and Colin helped with sheep dipping, gathering in the hay bales as well as camping and walking. Later in our lives we had holidays in Norfolk which included Church visiting which all four of us loved doing.

To a wonderful man, who always had a smile on his face, a kind word to say and a beautiful story or two to tell (mainly about his family). You will be greatly missed in our little village.
