Loving wife Norma & the family of Lawrence Risden who sadly passed away aged 83 on the 4 June 2024 wish to invite friends and family to celebrate his life. He caused havoc and laughter wherever he went, and you definitely heard him before you saw him. He was one of life’s jokers, a bright light, kind, caring and loving to everyone who loved him and knew him. To honour his funny fashion sense we request you wear a Hawaiian shirt or brightly coloured attire. We also request family flowers only, and donations will go to Alzheimer’s research through Jonathan Terry.

The celebration of Lawrence’s life will be held at Wessex vale crematorium at 11am on the 8th July 2024.

I only met Lawrence in the later stage of his life but he made me smile every time I saw him and his face lite up whenever Norma came into the room.

I had the great opportunity to work with this wonderful human being at the Container Terminal. Even at work he made everybody happy, his humour was everywhere, there was never a dull moment with Larry. We use to run the small cafe at work. I have and will keep those great times I spent with him. Rest in Peace Larry. God Bless
