We've been friends with Jon and Mollie for over 20 years since being caravan neighbours at Richmond Caravan Park. Jon was such a lovely man and will be sadly missed. With love and deepest sympathy to Mollie and family.

I worked with Jon for several years from the 1970’s. He was a good officer and like so many former colleagues have said he was a true gentleman. I always remember Jon and Steve being the best double act of their era and good friends. My condolences to Mollie and family

I first met Jon, when he was posted to Batley, after his initial training.

My condolences to Mollie and family.
I remember Jon being posted to Batley (after initial training) approximately 1972 and attached to the same group as myself, where we often worked together on Beat Patrol for the next 2-3 yrs.

I recall, On one such occasion of working together on nights in Birstall, we had to deal with an alcohol related incident..... resulting in an On the both of us and arrest of the offenders.

At the subsequent court proceedings we received Crown Court/Chief Constable Commendations for the professional manner that we had performed our duties in a violent situation.

Jon was one of my first sergeants at Holbeck in the early 1980s. An absolute gentleman with a keen sense of humour. Always there to help and advise. Still remembered fondly after 40 years. One of the very best, tragically taken far too soon. Rest easy Jon. Sincere condolences to
Mollie and family.
