Janis 'Jan' Harman (26 Jul 1951 - 21 May 2024)

I was deeply saddened to hear about Jan. Life is short and make the most of every moment! I had some lovely times with Jan and Bev in the late 1970’s /early 80’s when I worked at the beach cafe. We also socialized at the local pub in Stratton and babysat for the boys. Jan even trusted myself and sister Kath to take Nick and Rhys to Cyprus to visit Connie and Fred. Lots of fond memories. My thoughts and condolences for Bev and family at this time. With love Natalie

Jan's kindness shone out of her, her smile infectious. I shall miss her very much from our book group. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

I first met Jan’s younger sister Jean at Camborne Technical College many years ago and became very good friends, and still are. I was warmly welcomed by Jean’s parents whenever I went to stay and remember the lovely smile Jan always had for everyone, I also remember her many talents. Such a sad loss, my love and condolences to the family. Sheila x

I only met Jan a short time ago when I joined the Bude Look Group but I really appreciated her quiet kindness and her beautiful smile which made me feel really welcome

I would like to offer my condolences to all of Jan’s family. Jan was an integral part of book group but was primarily a friend. I will miss her love of language and her wise observations. I will also miss the coffee mornings at Jan’s where we discussed all manner of things but mainly enjoyed Bev’s bakery skills. Jan’s presence will be missed but our memories remain.

Some people you meet are special and leave a lasting impression. Jan was one of those people, I will miss her .

I send sincere condolences to Jan’s family and friends. She was a delightful lady and had a wonderful sense of,humour. She will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

So sorry to hear about Jan. Her parents Fred and Connie were so kind to me when I was at boarding school in Devon. I had many happy weekends with them, Christine and Jan in the sixties. Love to all the family. Ann

Jan got in touch with me when my mum, her aunt died, and has stayed in touch ever since, sending me letters, news, cartoons, remembering my birthday and mum’s anniversary. She has been supportive, kind, encouraging and understanding. I hadn’t seen Jan for nearly 15 years , but she has felt like an important part of my life since mum died. Sending my love, condolences and best wishes to Bev, Chris, Jean, all her children and grandchildren. I will be thinking of you all on the 17th.
