Isaac was born on 20th February 1951 and grew up in Zuru, Nigeria. He was a kind hearted, generous and wonderful person who dedicated his life towards helping others. From an early age he developed a passion for Medicine and embarked upon his Medical journey in 1972, graduating from Ahmadu University in Zaria, Nigeria.

After a year in National Service and various positions including in the small village of Koko, where he had a tremendous impact upon his colleagues and patients, he moved to London in 1982 to continue his Medical career.

In 1983 Isaac married Grace, his wife of 41 years. It was also a year where the first of his numerous publications was published in Medical journals. A year later his son John was born, followed by Daniel two years later.

Determined to provide for his young family and nurture his professional expertise he decided to move to Ireland where he spent the next five years. Whilst there his youngest son Joseph was born and he successfully completed his Masters Degree at the University of Galway.

After relocating back to the UK in 1992, he settled in Swindon taking up a new role at Princess Margaret Hospital. (Now Great Western Hospital) He would spend eleven years there. In 2002 he started teaching students from the University of Oxford. He was known by his students for always going the extra mile, being very approachable and showing an active interest in their welfare. They liked him so much he was voted Teacher of the month on more than one occasion.

In 2003, he moved to Hartlepool to take a Consultant Role at the University Hospital. He fully retired in 2022. He left behind a professional legacy built upon hard work, dedication, commitment and a magnificent sense of humour.

Isaac's biggest achievement was becoming a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. However Medicine was not Isaac's only interest, he also found comfort travelling, cooking, gardening, charity events as well as spending quality time with family and friends. In 2014 his granddaughter Zoe was born. 2014 was also the year he was first diagnosed with Cancer. He fought courageously against the disease and was eventually given the all clear in 2019. In 2024 the Cancer returned and like the first time he chose to fight, remaining hopeful and optimistic until the very end.

Dr Isaac Magani was a man of God, a devoted husband, an amazing Father and a wonderful brother to Naomi, Rose, Amina and Maimuna. We will celebrate his life, his achievements, the countless lives he touched as he will forever be remembered as one of the most incredible human beings you could ever meet.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

My family and I were really shocked and saddened when we recieved the shocking news about Dr Magani's passing to glory, this brought back so much painful memories

To me Dr Magani is a Saint, he was humble, kind hearted, loving and a generous man, he loved the Lord so much and doesnt want to show off or brag about his charitable deeds to others.

Since when my husband passed away in 2001, Dr Magani has been looking after our family he has been a father figure to our children, a tower of help and support to us, he committed to regularly phoning to find out how we were and a lot of times travelling to London to see us, bringing a car load of drinks, crisps and food stuff for the children, he was truly a friend that sticked closer than a brother.

James 1:27 NLT‬
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Dr Magani always speak passionately about his job and helping others, he has been on several Medical Mission Outreach overseas, and he took part in charity runs to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. He was a selfless person who loved looking after the weak and the vulnerable to bring comfort and ease to their situation.

He has left a great legacy for us, may we all emulate and aspire to be like this great man of God who has fought a good fight of faith to the very end and is now resting in the bosom of the Lord where there is no sickness nor pain.

Finally I would like to say, Likita we love you so much but God loves you more, we will surely miss you, may your sweet gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace until we meet again at Jesus's feet, and may the Lord continue to uphold and grant His peace and comfort to your wife, children, and grandchild during this difficult time of grief, and provide their every need in Jesus Name

Dear Isaac Magani, Each time a loved one is called to glory we get jolted to the realisation of how brief our surjourn in this world really is. Isaac, I know that as you lived you couldn't have been aware of how positively your life impacted on the lives of many of us. As believers in Christ we are called upon to be the light and salt of the world. You were all that and more. I can never forget how you always happily accepted patients I referred to you during your stay in the rural hospital at Koko in Sokoto State of Nigeria. You clearly used the platform of your professional calling to minister and bear testimony for God. You were brother, friend, confidant, colleague and more. We shall miss you very much but are comforted by the knowledge that we shall meet again to part no more. Rest in Perfect Peace Bro.
Dr Michael Danjuma Ango

Today, we gathered to honor and remember a man who touched our lives in profound ways - my dear uncle, Isaac. His passing has left a void in our hearts, but his legacy of love and strength will forever remain with us.

Uncle Isaac was not just a relative; he was a mentor, a friend, and a pillar of support to all who knew him. His kindness knew no bounds, and his wisdom guided us through life's challenges with grace and dignity.

From the days of our childhood spent under his care in Nigeria to the cherished moments shared across continents, Uncle Isaac's presence was a constant source of warmth and comfort. His words of encouragement were a beacon of light in our darkest hours, and his belief in our potential gave us the courage to dream big.

As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of his unwavering faith, his unwavering love for his family, and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Uncle Isaac was a man of integrity and honor, a true role model for us all.

Though his physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear. Let us carry forward his legacy of compassion, kindness, and strength as we navigate the journey ahead.

Uncle Isaac, you will be deeply missed, but your light will continue to shine bright in our hearts. May you rest in peace, knowing that you were loved, cherished, and admired by all who had the privilege of knowing you.

Farewell, dear uncle. Your memory will forever be treasured, and your spirit will live on in the lives you touched. Until we meet again, rest well in the arms of eternal peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr Magani at North Tees and Hartlepool hospitals. I was always amazed at how he remembered everyone’s name! He always called me Shaz and we always had a giggle about something or other. His laugh always set me off laughing! He always had time to explain things to the women in his care, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone loved him and will have many fond memories of him. He would light up the room instantly with his cheerful manner. He will truly be missed but he will leave a lasting impression on all of the staff he came into contact with, rest in peace Mr Magani, a true gentleman xx

Isaac was the nicest kindest Doctor I have ever worked with. He was so lovely with all his patients and to everyone he met. I was so privileged to go to Burkina Faso with him on a Midwifery Skills Workshop where he shared some life saving skills.
