A kind and gentle man taken too early from the people who loved him. My love and thoughts are with Sally, Robert, Karen and family during this tough time. xx
Tony Potter (1 Jul 1957 - 28 May 2024)
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team provide assistance to injured or lost persons in and around the Cairngorm Mountains. The vast area that we cover includes the Northern Cairngorms, Ben Alder and areas of Monadhliath Mountains to the East Side of Loch Ness. The team is made up entirely of volunteers who give their time freely to help those in need of aid in the mountains. We rely on fundraising. Every donation helps us keep our team safe and equipment up-to-date.
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Tony Potter who sadly died on 28th May 2024.
Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on 2nd May, with a prognosis of 6 months to a year. But it progressed more rapidly than anyone expected and Tony died at home on 28th May.
Tony always felt people looked best in blue, so if possible please wear something blue to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers you are welcome to make a donation to the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team using the link on this page. Tony loved the mountains, particularly the Cairngorms, where we took the first of many holidays to Scotland.
All are welcome to join us at 29 Beresford Gardens, Hadleigh, SS7 2SB, after the funeral service to raise a glass or a teacup to Tony and celebrate his life.
