In loving memory of Kay Sylvia Harward who sadly passed away on 29th May 2024.

Mum will be making her final journey to her house at 12:00pm on 13th June before leaving for the crematorium at around 12:30pm if you would like to visit to see her off.

Although mum loved flowers, if you would prefer, please make a donation to either Guy’s Cancer Charity or Bede House via this page.

We have received some extremely kind words of condolence since mum has passed, however if you would like to leave a story or anecdote below, we will get these printed into a book which we can cherish and look back on for many years to come.

Kay always made me chuckle, she was so funny and effervescent! She would drive past Dave on his way to work with UB40 booming out of her car and beep him and shout out, alright Dick!
The world will be a much duller, quieter place without Kay or Gobby as I affectionally had her in my phone!
Sleep tight Kay, rest in peace xxx

Remembering the days of the jewellery parties all the laughs and good fun we had. Never forgetting you dressing up as Mummy Christmas and walking around Surrey Quays lighting up everyone’s day. You were a truly remarkable one of a kind friend, you will be missed. Lots of love to Fay, Frankie, Fiona and family xx

Rotherhithe Street will never be the same without you and neither will life. 18 years as your neighbour and you kept our homes safe. Always watching out for us and anything that didn't look right. Even the one two many wanting a wee in the bushes behind the Docklands and you shouting out "Oi you dirty so and so!" You shouting out to the foxes 🦊 "Get out of the road!" to save them and the cooked chicken and sausages every night that you fed them that they then fed their fur babies and you fed the birds. Endless love not only for us humans but for animals. Your children are a credit to you. ❤️They did the most amazing job showing that love back to you. ❤️ I will miss you until we meet again my beautiful friend. A light has gone out. But it must shine so brightly in heaven because you truly were a 🌟that was born to leave footprints wherever you go. Love you Kay. 😘

Kay, you were one of the best friends anyone could ever wish for l. When I think back to the many years we worked together, I always have a smile on my face. Then to the most recent memories of when I left London & you used to come and visit me every 2 weeks. Going to all different places and always making an impression everywhere you went. I would joke that you were care in the community and tell people I was looking after you l. I will always treasure our memories and Thursdays will never be the same.
Sending much love and prayers to Fay, Frankie, Fiona and family.

Thinking of Fay, Frankie, Fiona & Family at this extremely difficult time. No words will heal your pain…
The amount of messages is testament to how special Kay was to so many of us.
I have lots of fond memories of Kay whilst growing up… One in particular was going to Walworth Road shopping and Kay giving the ‘Safeway’ or similar carrier bags to myself and Fay to carry whilst ensuring she was carrying the designer shopping bags… swinging the ‘Panache’ or ‘Cockney Rebble’ bags with pride 🤣
Another is when Kay would make the car “dance” aka swerve in time with the music whilst taking us all dancing.
Or when she mimicked Nina Nana from the news whilst ironing and Fiona lobbed a coat hanger down the stairs as she thought Kay had said “need a hanger”.
Kay… May you rest in peace and cause havoc in heaven. Lots of love Carly & Family xx 😘
