In loving memory of Sylvia Addison who sadly passed away on 16th May 2024. She was mother to Gill and Mike and grandmother to Jenny, Kathryn and Nikki. Sylvia Hopwood (as she then was) was born in April 1935 near York and spent most of younger life in Brighouse. She worked as a telephonist in Huddersfield until she married Jack Addison in 1958. Moves followed to Hull, Cleethorpes, Chesterfield and Rotherham before settling in Keighley in 1975. In 1988, in advance of his retirement in 1990, Sylvia and Jack moved to a bungalow in Silsden where they lived happily until Jack's passing in 2010.

In her later years, Sylvia enjoyed family holidays (particularly cruises) and spending time with family and friends (as well as doing jigsaws). She will be remembered as a kind and caring mother, grandmother, sister and Aunt and a good friend to the many she kept in touch with over the years. She will be much missed.

Michael Addison donated £100 in memory of Sylvia

Sylvia was a lovely lady who will be missed. She was a supporter of Silsden Town Band when I was in it, and attended many of our concerts etc along with Gill. Sending love to Sylvia's family at this difficult time. Xx
