It is with great sadness and with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend. Ann (Nancy) Davies passed away on the 10th May 2024 with all her family by her side.
Ann or Nancy as she was known by family leaves a loving husband Colin, three children Maxine, Christopher and Sam, three grandchildren Rhianna, Gracie and Ellie and one great grandson Rudy.
Our mam was born in Ireland in 1945 and was 1 of 18 children, the whole family later moved to England in 1963 where she lived in Sutton in Ashfield . After meeting Colin they got married in 1968 in Sutton in Ashfield. And later moved to South Normanton where she lived all her life. She worked locally but ended her career at Abbey Lodge nursing home in South Normanton were she retired after 30 years service at the ripe old age of 70 years young.
She loved to read, gardening, her family, holidays, shopping and loved her soaps, but most of all she loved her family and Luna the families cocker spaniel.
Ann (Nancy) will be sadly missed by all her family, friends and by those who were lucky enough to cross paths with her.
As a family we have decided that any charitable donations go to COPD (asthma and lung) since Christmas she battled herself with COPD and heart failure
Sleep tight mam, god bless, you will forever be in our hearts, thoughts and memories. Rest in peace.

What a lovely lady your mum was. I spent my first night ever away from home at yours and she was so welcoming and I always remembered her being so friendly and kind. Sorry for your loss.
