Stella Mary Allison (Ryan) was born on the 30th of September 1951 in the beautiful town of Thurles, Tipperary in Ireland to Johanna and Joseph Ryan. She was one of 7 siblings, who she adored very much.

Stella was beautiful and wild and independent and lived an adventurous life. She was unapologetically herself and was fiercely independent. Most of all, she was brave and if she wanted to do something, she did it.

The name Stella means star, and was she a star indeed. Stella, or I knew her as mum, was the star of my life.

She passed away on the 20th of May 2024 and the skies have gained their brightest star of them all.

My darling sister Stella. I think of all the times we spent together. Doing crossword puzzles, playing endless games of Yahtzee, drinking pots of tea. The list of joyful memories go on. How beautiful you are and what fun we had. I love and miss you, xx

So many candles will be lit for you Stella Bella, lots of green ones as that was your favourite colour (sorry I got rid of the hair). I’ll always remember our trip to the Hard Rock Cafe and the laughs and drinks we had there. Thank you for the dinners you’d pick up from work for me to have at the flat, the smokes on the balcony, the Easter eggs and advent calendar’s. Everything you did for me, we will do so much for you, forget. Baby’s breath will always be in my room for you. The brightest star I ever did see, and I’m so glad the northern lights came to see you- the sky is yours. Thank you for giving me my best friend, my star 💫✨
