Richard died as the result of a tragic accident whilst walking Scafell Pike in the Lake District. He was found by the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team on 10th May 2024. Richard was the much loved husband of Diane, proud dad of Andrew and Sarah, and loved by Callum, Logan and Dan. He was the dearly loved son of Margaret and the late Ronnie, very dear brother of Peter and Helen, and a dear son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. A good friend to so many, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at Christ the King Church, Battyeford, on Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 12.30pm, followed by a private committal at Huddersfield Crematorium. Family and friends please gather at the church. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made online or sent to George Brooke Ltd., for the benefit of Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team.
