In loving memory of Marion McCarthy who sadly passed away on 26th November 2015. Marion was a loving wife to our dad , Meredith for just over 54 years. She was mum to Marjory, Theresa and Michael and a great Mother in Law to Donald, Andrew and Karoline all of whom she treated like her own children and friend and her neice Jean who was like another daughter. She was such a special Nana to Lucy, Colin, Anna, Connor, Abi, Murdo, Ruaridh and Jamie. We all have so many memories of mum as will so many other people whose lives were touched by her. She was such a great listener and confidante and you could be confident that if you told her a secret then it would remain a secret. Everyone who met mum always felt at ease with her straight away, she had a lovely way with her that they felt as if they had known her all their lives even if they had just met her. She was also full of fun and loved a wee dram and a good get together with family and friends. She loved her Bingo and Bandit and many a night we heard how she was just waiting on 1 number at the bingo (usually our house number in Kennedy Road - number 1). No-one left mum and dad's house empty handed, either a bottle of lucozade or wine or a wee fiver slipped into the kids pocket with a hush signal to them not to tell us. She was the best wife, mum, Nana and friend anyone could ever wish for and we are so lucky to have had her in our lives. We are all going to miss her so much. Rest peacefully xx

Poem by Ruaridh MacPhail for his nana
The Little Robin
Oh little Robin perched in the tree,
with your brown feathers and your proud red chest.
Oh little Robin perched in the tree,
Sing me a song, try to make me happy.
In your chirp, I hear her voice, calling me, asking
Are you Okay?
Do you still remember me?
Do you still love me?
Yes I'm okay,
Yes I still remember you,
Yes I still love you with all my heart.
Oh little Robin perched in the tree,
In your eyes I see the sparkle of the street lights
Where I last saw her.
Oh little Robin perched in the tree,
In you I see her.
Oh little Robin perched in the tree,
Please bring my Nana back.
I love you Nana xxx
