Our Dear Peter; what a shock it was to hear of his passing, so very unexpected and such a loss to his loving family.
Grandpa to Hope, Eloise and Lauren; Finlay, Reuben and Isla and Kieren; the best Step dad Janine, Chris and Jo could have wished for.
I met Peter nearly 30 years ago, his exuberance for life and laughter was infectious; such a wonderful human to be around.
An amazing support to the Barnes’ family, a larger than life family member who will be missed dreadfully,.
May you rest in peace Peter with a huge smile on your face knowing you brought so many smiles to so many faces during your time here with us and your heart is full knowing you will be forever remembered xx

Uncle Peter’s passing was such a shock to us, as we had spent the day with him at my father’s funeral the day before. We had been delighted to reunite with Peter in person after so many years apart. We chatted for quite some time about his friends and family.
Peter’s reputation for helping to finish up the food at parties hadn't waned... he took a box of goodies from the buffet home with him.
We have such fond memories of Peter, and his wonderful parents Uncle Clifford and Auntie Mary, attending all of our family celebrations growing up. No party was complete without the three of them being there.

A kind gentle soul, you will be missed. Rest in peace Peter. xx

Uncle Peter was always the life of the party, unapologetically expressing his excitement for the things he loved. One of my fondest memories with him was during a holiday in Florida. It was around Christmas, and my dad had set up a train to circle the Christmas tree. Naturally, Peter, who adored trains, was fascinated by it. We always knew when he was awake because the train's loud horn would sound as soon as he turned it on each morning.

During that trip, I spent a lot of time with Peter in the back of our people carrier, traveling all over central Florida. I remember his enthusiasm for everything he saw outside the window, eagerly pointing things out and talking to me about them. As a teenager, I didn't fully appreciate those moments with him. It's a common regret—we often don't realise the value of time spent with loved ones until they're gone.

It's hard to believe that I was just talking to Peter the Saturday before he passed away. He came to celebrate my daughter's first birthday and looked so well.

Rest in peace, Uncle Peter. We'll see you again someday.
