Peter made a massive impact on the construction industry and was someone who played hard ball for what he believed in. We may not have always agreed but there was always mutual respect and honesty. A true gent and someone that will be greatly missed. The team he was in at Newham now has a big hole to fill. The new person will need to bring an element of Ng if they are to fill that gap.

I just cannot believe this! I only found out today 31st May when I read through the London Police Pensioner Magazine. Peter and I joined the Met on the same day and we both live at Trenchard House. We worked at CD although on different shifts. We also had the same CTC days in our first couple of years. By pure coincidence, and another reason why we became friends is that we were exactly the same height, you couldn’t tell us apart from the back and by pure chance we have exactly the same date of birth of 7/12/1962.
I’m stunned!! Such a lovely man. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. I’m really sad this evening.

I heard of this very sad news a few days after the funeral. I joined the MET the same day as Peter and we were at Training School (Wanstead) together. We kept in contact throughout our service, particularly when I was at Limehouse and Peter was at TDH Bow. We maintained contact following retirement from Police. It was my pleasure to know Peter he was a good man. We at PTS Wanstead 1982 fb group will miss him. Condolences to family. RIP Peter, God bless.

I have just heard this very sad news. Peter and I joined the Job on the same day in 1982 and I have known him all these years. I now work for TFL and still used to attend the same works meetings as him. A really good guy whose company I always enjoyed! Rest in peace mate 🥲

So many lovely memories from working with Peter at Traffic OCU. He always stayed in touch and it was always so nice to hear from him. Great sense of humour and one of life's true, genuine people. I really wanted to come to the funeral but couldn't make it due to not finding flights. I followed the service online which I am so grateful for. Rest easy Peter. Huge condolences to all the family.

We would all like to thank everyone who came on Wednesday to celebrate Dads life, as someone summsrised the service it was more a sad final reunion than a funeral.
We would like to especially thank
Stephen Gay and his team for their professionalism and support getting dad home and looking after him as well putting together the plans for the day
Philip Painter for conducting the sevice
Peter for organising with the MPS for the Job standard and a white cap and especially for arranging the 2 solos who provided an escort for the cortage that day
Steve for obtaining and driving the 90's Met Traffic Car also as part of the procession
The 2 PCs who rode the Solos and the Hurst motorcyclist for the respective duties that day
And finally to the Michael, Eric and the team at Twin Dynasty for the hospitality and food they provided everyone at the Wake.
The day went off better than we could have hoped
Thank you all

I will miss Peter loads, knowing him for so long and then from our working together daily at Newham Council I found a true friend who gave me good advice and counsel. We have had many laughs along the way and there are just to many to mention. He will always remain in my memories. My families and my condolences remain with Julie, Vicki and Matthew. Rest in peace my friend.

I have just heard the incredibly sad news about Peter's passing in April, news that was totally unexpected. I met Pete in 1983 when I found myself living in Trenchard House, out rooms being a few doors down from each other. We had a mutual interest in motorcycles and Pete introduced me to his motorcycling friends and also instructors on the BMF and Islington council run training scheme.

I would like to pass on my sincere condolences to the Ng family at what must be a very difficult and sad time. He was a very good man and he will be sorely missed by so many. Rest in peace Pete.
