Helen Sarah Green (19 Jul 1965 - 29 Mar 2024)

I miss Helen's humour, candour, directness and support. Her passing is a reminder of just how short and fragile our time on this wonderful Earth is.

Helen, you brought so much light and brightness in the lives of all of us who had the chance to meet you. You will continue living in our hearts. May all that light and brightness guide your soul. We used to start our coaching sessions with a question: « How do I … ». This time I don’t have the answer to How do I ….in a world without you…

Remembering a lovely lady, Helen;your mischievous smile and the laughs we had at choir and the joy we had singing all together.

Helen was a beautiful person. I will cherish the conversations we had and be forever grateful for all of her support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Having been close to you in the early 1980's. It was pleasure to re-connect with you several years later. I will miss our occasional coffee meetings.

Helen and I were colleagues and friends for over 25 years after meeting at United Biscuits. My favourite memories were when Helen and I visited Australia for my 30th birthday.

H - I will miss your optimism, resilience and your beautiful way of asking just the right questions to get you to think and of course, your sense of humour.

Helen was the first person I met on a group trip to Cuba. So calm, open and friendly, we struck up a friendship over a rooftop breakfast and I immediately felt reassured and welcomed. Thank you Helen - it meant a great deal.

I am so so sad to learn that I will have no more wonderful holidays, deep and meaningful conversations and text message banter with my wonderful friend. You were always so generous with your time, your wisdom and humour. You have always been such a kind calm influence in my life since we met in Cuba. I remember the traumatic drive to the villa in Spain, ambling round Copenhagen and Malmo, forcing you on the Games of Thrones tour in Croatia, and drinking lots of lovely Grk and talking ceaseless politics when Liz Truss tanked the economy.
I am so so sorry to say goodbye. I miss you. Xxx

It is hard to explain the impact Helen has created: the kindness, the wisdom and the safe spaces she created for others to grow their wings. I won’t ever forget her x

Helen was an incredible mentor and coach for me and so many others - bringing confidence, fun, resilience and joy. We'll miss her hugely.
