In loving memory of Peter Starkey, who sadly died on 9th April 2024, aged 78 in the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Andover. A much loved father, husband, uncle, brother, friend, neighbour, and colleague to many in his time at Warsash Maritime Academy, in the Royal Naval Reserves and his decades from cadet to Captain in the Merchant Navy - he will be greatly missed.

Everyone is welcome to the funeral, which will be at Romsey Abbey - details on this page.

To quote Peter on dress for the funeral - “I’d like people to come as if we’re going out for a nice lunch.” And as he was proud to be a Merchant and Royal Naval Reserve seaman, if you have a service or dress uniform you’d like to wear, that will be very welcome too.

Family flowers only, if you are able to make a donation instead in his memory that will be hugely appreciated, details of two charities at the side of this page.
