β€˜Mzee’ (β€˜Elder’) Charles. Your are a shining example of an Elder who guided us with example and words of empowerment. As the last β€˜Council of Elders’ from Nubian Link to leave us in this earthly realm, we will not forget you in our libations and prayers! Hotep! πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’¦β€οΈπŸͺ΄πŸ•―️

Charles, you were one of the most amazing, educated, knowledgeable and articulate person of words who I respected that I had the fortune to have met. We talked a week before you left us. You said that I could come and visit you at home, however I never got around to it. My sad loss. Rest in peace and rise in power with your ancestors.

A wave maker, a shaker, a disrupter, a corner stone, a supporter, a warrior, a community legend. Now at one with the ancestors.

Dear Charles, we never did get to meet up for lunch. This was the last time I had the pleasure of bumping into you. I always enjoyed exchanging texts with you. Thanks always for sending me in the direction of the Schomburg Center. RIP my friend x
