Marina Melidou (Passed away 10 Apr 2024)

In loving memory of Marina, who sadly passed away on 10th April 2024.

Marina was a loving and much loved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed making people feel good. Her favourite hobbies included baking, chatting to friends, tending to her flowers, watching her favourite shows, Strictly Come Dancing in particular, and preparing for celebrations such as Christmas.

Marina was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2023 and fought bravely, including having major surgery twice, but unfortunately the beast would not be beaten.

She will be missed and remembered every single day.

Marina expressed some wishes for her final farewell. She asked that those attending wear clothes they're comfortable with and preferably neither black nor white. She also asked that, instead of flowers, you consider making a small donation. Our suggested charities are the Myton Hospices, Macmillan Cancer Support and Pancreatic Cancer UK and you can donate via this obituary site or any other route of your choice.

We'd be extremely grateful if you'd consider writing a short letter addressed to Marina's children so we can create a little memory box for them. Please write to them as future adults sharing stories, memories and what Marina meant to you.
