We would like to thank everyone so much for their kind donations in memory of John. It has been both comforting and humbling to see the outpouring of love for John in recent weeks. John was the kindest of men and family meant everything to him, he was also blessed with amazing friends all of whom he loved dearly. Someone said “when John asked how you were he really wanted to know, he cared “

Growing up I knew Uncle John as kind and fun and I enjoyed making him chuckle. All grown up, he became a reliable support, offering a calm quiet love during the difficult times and, when the moment allowed it, I still enjoyed making him chuckle. RIP Uncle John x

Thanks, John, for guiding me through my life, always looking out for my two and standing as Best Man at our wedding.
Both big Brothers now gone who took me to Millwall in 1966, a journey full of ups, downs and beers, Cup Finals, Play Offs and Europe including a 100% Home and Away season in 1988/89 that we both shared with Jess, little Ray and Lampey.
That journey continues through our children and our children’s children.
Love always and cheers for the ride !
