I was sorry I couldn’t be at the funeral but watched the funeral online a lovely service. My dad was Eddie Stribling and was first cousin to June. Paul was a friend of my mum, Anne Edward’s as she was than there was another friend Derek as 3 friends they uses to have all sorts of adventures they all knew my dad Eddie Stribling but not sure on sequence of when

. When Eddie and Anne got married they asked June to be bridesmaid and Paul to be best man which is apparently when paul first met June.

Is was so sad to hear of Paul's passing. Paul was always a part of our family , he was the best friend of my brother Tony and as i was much younger than Tony and Paul they both delighted in teasing me when he came round to our house in Hackney.
When I was learning the piano from the age of 7, Paul would listen and be very supportive. In later years when I was learning the Moonlight Sonata, Paul would always play it after me and was always better than me! We will always be extremely grateful to Paul and June , as they kindly gave a home to our lovely elderly cat Timmy when we moved abroad in 1988. Paul was always such a kind and genuine person. Sadly we cannot attend todays funeral as we both have Covid , but we will follow the service online. Sending all our love and support to Kevin, Gillian and Steven. Our condolences to all the family Evelyn and David Hutson

Paul was a great friend and neighbour to all our family members. He was a great support of music and the arts and it was great to attend concerts with him.

We will be at the house to pay our respects as he leaves tomorrow.

Paul was a very generous guy who on a couple of occasions kindly invited me to spend a week with him at his time share flat on the Algarve. This was brilliant and we had a lovely time there. However Paul was far more adventurous than me (Mike)as every morning before breakfast he would invite me to join him skinny dipping in the sea. I always replied " no I think I'll just get on and make breakfast ".
He had a great sense of fun. We'll both miss him.

Paul enjoyed his day trips with a group from the u3a. On this occasion we were going to Camden Market along the grand Union Canal from Little Venice.we caught the train to Liverpool Street and from there the underground to Paddington followed by a walk along the tow path to Little Venice. All was going well when somebody realised that Paul was not with us.just then my phone rang and I got the usual cheery greeting of"Paul Here where are you" Paul was still on the tube and had not noticed that 20 odd members of the group he was with had all got up and left the train.unsure where he was he was instructed to leave the train at the next stop catch the next train coming back and get off at Paddington.Paul eventually made it back to the group in time for a cup of tea before we caught the boat to Camden Lock.

I got to know Paul better over the last few years. We had some enjoyable times together usually over lunch and often with a walk with my dog, who took to Paul straight away sitting on his lap the first time he went into Paul's home.
We always tried to put the world to rights, often talking about the "good old days", always with good humour though.
Paul tried to educate me about classical music, alas in vain, and he loved showing me his You Tube clips of talented singers.
Paul was a cultured, kind hearted man and very good company! I and my dog Bertie will miss him.
