In Loving Memory of Barrie Jon Tingley.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barrie, on 29th March 2024, aged 54.

He leaves behind his much loved and cherished daughter Kaila,. He was a loving son to Valerie and David and a treasured brother to Paul and Steven as well as a mischievous brother in law to Michelle and Shelly. A fun and caring Uncle to Shelby, Taylor, Mason, Harrison, Jenson and Lincoln, he was a true family man in every sense.

Though his time with us was cut short, Barrie will be remembered for his infectious personality and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

Barrie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held on 30th April at Seven Hills Crematorium at 11.15am.
Please dress smart casual, no need for ties.
Family flowers only, with any donations to go to Suffolk Mind please, via the 'Donate Now' tab on this page.
All are welcome at the Wake afterwards to help us celebrate Barrie’s life and tell fond stories of his time with us all, at Venue 16 , Tuddenham Road from 1.30pm.

I knew Barrie primarily from the train to Liverpool Street, and along with other fellow commuters, we all happily shared many a tale and much banter with Barrie, and maybe a drink along the way. I will remember Barrie with great fondness, and I send his family and friends sincere condolences.

Barrie, Hadn’t seen you much in recent years as you had moved away a while back. Dave and I always remember the light hearted, often comical comments and banter that you would make whilst over the cricket club back in the 80’s and 90’s. You were around 17 then - full of fun and always up to something with that wonderful smile. You will always be remembered Barrie.
Rest in Peace. God Bless.
Joyce & Dave

Barrie, I never told you this but I kinda wanted to be like you when I grew up. You were good at football and cricket and even looked good with a mullet. Even though you drove a bogey green chevette and supported the wrong team me and Stef admired you so much as young impressionable kids. A hit with the ladies, a natural sportsman and always great fun to be around. I had the pleasure of playing golf with you in recent years and you were great company on and off the course even if you did drive the ball like Miss Daisy. “Oh you got hold of that one!” you would say on my practice swing with perfect timing. Always asking about me and my family, it’s rare for people to genuinely take an interest in others lives these days, but you always seemed to care. Nobody can imagine your internal struggles and for that reason alone I admire you ever more. I hope now you have found peace. You will always be in our hearts. RIP to my best mates brother and my pal, you made a positive mark on many, I just hope you realised that. You will be hugely missed x
