In loving memory of Susan Patricia Stoor who sadly passed away on 20th March 2024.

Sue lit up a room with her engaging smile and infectious laugh, she loved nothing more than being with family and friends.

She grew up as part of a loving family as a young girl and lady, taking on important roles as the only daughter, looking after three brothers whilst her parents were working. Holidays to North Devon with hordes of the family are the memories she cherished.

She met Rick in 1981, a turning point in both their lives, initially enjoying life together building their loving relationship, eventually marrying in 1984. A year later, Madeline was born, their 'miracle' baby, as unbeknown to them Sue was suffering with Coeliac disease, not diagnosed until seven years later. They had been trying for another child but due to her illness it would not happen, until after diagnosis when Matthew was born in 1992.

Sue revelled in looking after her children and the family spent many days and holidays over the years giving them experiences they will never forget. When her grandchildren Joshua, Zachary and Phoebe arrived, she doted on them and would always want to be involved in their care and upbringing.

As Rick's partner of 43 years, Sue supported his career unwaveringly and for that he is extremely grateful. In addition, Sue has provided her children with a role model that has enabled them to bring their families up with the same values. Both of these factors has enabled the family a solid foundation for generations to come, a true legacy that Sue would be proud of.

I was never fortunate enough to have met Susan but I heard so much, and as I look through these messages the impact she has had on so many peoples lives is clear. The quote “a beautiful soul will always leave beautiful memories” is obviously very true of Sue. My love to you all.
