In loving memory of Louise Warren who sadly passed away on 9th March 2024

Mrs Louise Amarilla Leodora Warren (Brown) was born on the beautiful Sunny Caribbean Island of Antigua to Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Elenora Brown on 17th February 1936. She was the second of five children.

Her two surviving siblings are: Mr. Vincent Brown residing in Antigua and Mrs. Sheila (Brown) Jacobs residing in the United States. Her brother Keith Brown preceded her in death on May 10, 2019. While her sister Winifred (Brown) Harris on July 31, 2020.

Louise Warren formerly worked as a Seamstress in Antigua and migrated to the United Kingdom in 1958.

Louise married Mr. Hickson Warren in Stoke Newington, North London on 28th March 1958.

Over time Louise Amarilla lost 2 children in childbirth. It was a very difficult experience for her and when she became pregnant again a decision was made for her to “travel back home “. With the kind support of her dear mother, she was able to have a healthy pregnancy and birth. She had a safe delivery on 15th September 1965 to a loved baby boy. Hixon Wesley Warren was born in her hometown, St Johnson’s Village Antigua. He has since remained a loving dedicated and caring Son who his mother was very proud of.

We recognise and acknowledge with thanks the efforts of her older sister Mrs. Winifred Brown Harris who worked tirelessly with her mother Elenora and loved her dearly to the utmost, always having her best interest at heart. It was truly a joyous successful result for the family to see Louise Amarilla so happy with her son.

Louise Warren returned to England with Hixon Wesley on 10th June 1970. Hickson Warren the proud father together with Sylvester Martin a dear family friend travelled to meet them at Victoria Station in London.

The family Initially lived in South Tottenham with the Martin Family. They later moved and were one of the first families on the Broadwater Farm Estate in 1971. Our Aunt Louise was employed at MK Electrics for numerous years as a “Quality Controller”. This role was PERFECT for her as she was a perfectionist. She retired from this role in 1991.

Louise immediate family consists of Dr. Hixon Wesley Warren & Mrs. Jennifer Warren, a very kind hearted daughter. Their union has produced five beautiful Grandchildren namely: Rhianna, Rohan and Rhenee Warren and Ladine and Laighton White who will always remember their loving grandmother to whom they all gave great care in every aspect of her life.

Louise (a.k.a. Ama) was a beautiful person inside and outside, with a quiet disposition, pleasant and lovely personality, always smiling and nicely groomed. Her favourite words were “Beautiful and Thank you” ! She wasn’t one to take one for granted. She had a sense of humour loved jokes and would be seen laughing away at times and nobody would really know what the joke was about. No words can express how deeply she will be missed. May we all find comfort in the wonderful memories of Mrs Louise Amarilla Warren.

  • A beautiful eulogy for one of God's beautiful Daughters. May God comfort her loves ones as they mourn her loss. Revelation 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
