Today is my birthday, the first one without you...I don't need a special day to bring you to mind but today is full of memories, happiness and tears, of birthday celebrations we've shared throughout the years. And though I'll always miss you dad, the endless joy you brought, warms my heart with gratitude and fills my every thought. Wherever you are resting, I hope that you can see, how precious and uplifting your memory is to me.

There is nothing like a dad no matter how old we grow; a dad to look up to, a dad who can fix things, no matter how big or small; a dad who will pick you up, no matter when you fall. A dad who will care for you, and make sure you're okay. A dad who will give advice to lead you on your way. Dad, you gave me life. You held my hand when I was small, you caught me when I fell. The hero of my childhood and my later years as well. You nurtured me, taught me, fought for me, shouted at me, kissed me but most importantly you loved me unconditionally. A dad's love is special a gift beyond compare. To hear your voice and see your smile and just to sit and talk to you would be my dearest wish today but I want you just to know that I'm thinking about you, missing you, loving you and celebrating you. A parent with a heart of gold- the world's most special dad.
