In loving memory of Russell Amelius Smith who sadly passed away on 30th January 2024
Born in Hackney on 28th July 1960, the eldest of four boys to mother Jean. Russell was loved by all who met him and always left a lasting impression. Charismatic, calm, caring and charming he would always be there to say the right thing.
His family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers for the Royal Free Charity to fund the research in to the illness Amyloidosis, which ultimately took him from us too soon.
Gone but not forgotten, we will come together on 18th March to celebrate Russ' life. The ceremony will be held at Pitsea crematorium at 11.30am which will then lead us on to Oyster fleet in Canvey Island for the wake.

We will all like to thank you for all your kind words and support along this difficult journey. Russell will be deeply missed and may we give him the send off that he deserves.

Russ, I’ll forever cherish our memories of our time in Lanzarote with Mum & Dad, Nan and Uncle Dave, your two boys Russel & Jack, and daughter Jasmine. My warmest memories from childhood will be us visiting Aqua Park. You held me as a baby, and I had the privilege of knowing you throughout my adolescence.
I’ll have nothing but admiration and respect for you. Your memory will forever live on through all of us, thank you.
