We met Jay in the late 80's/early 90's on the Greek island of Ios. We were on holiday & Jay was working at Homers Inn Hotel picking up & dropping off guests at the port, along with a host of other duties. Jay was infectious, his smile, laughter & bags of energy & he certainly knew how to party!! We saw Jay for a couple of seasons then nothing for 20+ years, but how delighted we were when Jay & Miles arrived at Homers Inn on holiday. The same old Jay, full of fun, life & of course colour, you could spot him a mile away..!! At the end of the night it was always one for the road.... "Rakomelo" Jay would shout, & another toast was made. YAMMAS Jay, it was an absolute blast.

So many memories from the late 80s onwards. Most recently long conversations by text and phone, meeting at my mums to do the garden. Beautiful man, beautiful spirit. Love & light my old friend.

Jay was a truly wonderful friend of so many years, who will be so dearly missed. He lived life to the fullest possible.

Well I really can’t believe this, so sad to leave us so young, my only consolation is that Jay really lived, and probably crammed more life in his allotted years than many ever do. Will always remember our time together so fondly. The world is a less cosmic place without you.
