A pleasure to have known, through employment at lackham College, such a talented, kind and philanthropic person as Roger. My thoughts go with those left with memories.

Iv got a lot of good memories of roger , first meeting him in Cyprus with mum, Anne and teddy , when I was about 8. He drove us round Cyprus up the mountain tracks, swimming in the blue seas and looking round ruins. But most recently meeting up with Marion and roger in wales in our mother homes, that was such good fun, chatting , walking, eating and drinking. Will be fondly remembered and sadly missed

What an amazing host you were, Roger. We have shared so many happy times together, cycling, walking, eating and drinking! It was always so inspiring when we were all together, talking about places, listening to great music and sharing our dreams. You were so bright and cheerful, enthusiastic and forever young. We will miss you beyond words.

It was a very fortunate day for Lackham College of Agriculture when Roger agreed to become part of the engineering team; he brought with him organisational skills, tremendous engineering knowledge and implementation, and a willingness to engage with all members of staff and students.
Unbeknown to many, Roger was responsible for enhancing students learning experience as he made sure the transport fleet was always up and running thereby enabling us to offer considerably more visits over greater distances than other establishments. Notably overseas study tours in a minibus- on one occasion I never realised how close I was to the Swiss border! Leaving a mini bus in Wales for five days whilst on Flat Holm, Parking up the Green Goddess Bristol 39 seater in Appledore for a week on Lundy, always sure that everything would be ok all because we had complete confidence in the man who organized and ran the fleet, who else but Roger.
On occasions I would pose Roger with one off engineering challenges that I had failed to resolve only to find they were fixed in a most ingenious and smart way.
Proud to have known you Roger.

I was so very sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I will always remember him for starting up the Lackham Friday BBQ's. These were held every Friday lunchtime with each member of the Enginnering Dept taking it in turns to provide the food and drink. There was a competition for who could get the food the cheapest until it was noted that some of the burgers contained 'mechanically recoverd chicken' which, being engineers, we didn't like the sound of. He was brilliant engineer, so innotative, he didn't have engineering problems, he had solutions. He was always cool, calm and collected and I don't recall him ever being in a bad mood or angry.
He was a great guy to work with and will be a loss to all who knew him.

In memory of Roger, a dear friend.

Roger was one of a kind and always rose to the challenge of solving an engineering problem - he was such a clever man who taught me a lot. I will miss his friendship and especially our chats about all his adventures with Marion in the campervan. He loved life and travelling and made the best toasted sandwiches! Roger will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who knew him.

It's been an honour knowing you, a lovely and kind man. Rest in peace Roger.

I have lots of good memories of my uncle Roger. Souvenirs from Hong Kong, a fun holiday together in Turkey for our wedding and watching my first Bond movie at his house with auntie Marion from the magic Hong Kong TV opening up box. You will surely be missed. Rest in peace 🕊️
