Funeral Director
Malcolm and Pauline Wright
Very sadly, but poignantly Malcolm and Pauline passed away within ten days of each other on 4th and 14th February 2024 respectively
Their lives were full of love and laughter and they will be sorely missed as parents, grandparents and very recently, great grandparents. Over their 65 years as a married couple, they enjoyed a range of activities together including bowling, for which they both won medals as members of the County Bowling Club, camping, various holidays and especially spending time with their family and friends. We all love and miss them very much.
Malcolm was a true gentleman in every sense of the word who was happy to help and support others. He loved his cars, his caravans, bowling and sitting in the sun but his first love was always Pauline and his family. His last few years were spent in a care home and we will always be grateful for the amazing care provided to him by the staff and their love and support of him.
Pauline had many interests and shared a love of bowling with Malcolm. She was always busy and many of us remember her purposeful stride and active nature. She loved weekends away with her friends, walks, regular visits to the cinema, supporting Bitterne Library and spending time with the ‘old folk’ in a local club. She was an amazing and passionate gardener and her garden was quite literally a showcase, across all four seasons and a delight to behold.
We love and miss them very much.
Their funeral is on Friday 15th March at 2.00pm at Wessex Vale Crematorium and afterwards at the County Bowling Club, Northlands Road, Southampton SO15 2LN until 6.00pm.
We would like to ask for family flowers only and for donations to be made to Countess Mountbatten.
