In loving memory of Murray Hawtin who sadly passed away on 26th January 2024, beloved husband of Anne, and dad to Joanna, Freya and Stephanie. Pops to his eight grandchildren, and brother of Gay and Geoff.
Murray passed away suddenly on the 26th of January 2024, aged 70. Murray will be greatly missed by all his family and friends and all the people who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The funeral is at Lawnswood crematorium Otley Road, Leeds, LS16 6AH on Friday, the 1st of March at 11:30 am.
Afterwards, the funeral reception will be held at North Leeds Cricket Club, Old Park Road Leeds LS8 1JX.
Please no flowers, but donations to St George’s crypt Leeds would be gratefully accepted as it’s a homeless charity Murray supported.
Murray would have wanted people to wear whatever they felt comfortable in. Smart
or smart casual. Black or colour.

Everyone has described Murray or Vole as we knew him as a younger man so well. Lovely guy and much loved friend. A real jolt on hearing that he had passed on. I’ve tried to think what I could add to what everyone has said so far … so hear goes … I remember riffing with him on topics, events and things as we got sillier and more ridiculous as we went along and the laughter building up. Oh yes and there was that leather flying helmet too ….

Murray was a lovely guy. I still remember dancing with him when we all used to go to St Chad's in Headingly. This was well over 20 years ago.
More recently John and I enjoyed a couple of fun days together with Murray and Anne in the Spanish sun. Murray was relaxed and smiling. Good memories x
