In loving memory of Anne Bunning

Heartbreakingly and suddenly left us too soon on January 20th 2024, aged 58 years. Adored and treasured wife of Martin, impossibly loving and silly Mum (and rock) to Emily and Liam, extra Mum to Nicola and Bob, favourite person and Grandma to Eliza, Harry & Wren. Much needed friend, sister, auntie, teacher and light in the world.

A Celebration of her beautiful and important life will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Stratton on Friday 9th February 2024 at 1:00pm. Please wear clothes that make you happy.

Family flowers only please, donations can be made, if wanted, to Little Bridge House Children’s Hospice, South West, by retiring collection or c/o Denise Wellington Funeral Services, Thornelea, St. Anne's Hill, Bude. EX23 0LT. Or online using the JustGiving link at the top of this page

We would greatly appreciate memories of Anne and all the kindness she brought to the world to be collected in a book on the day for the family to treasure.

Anne lived down the road from me, when we were teenagers. I cycled to school everyday with her. Anne was incredibly important in my growing up years. She was a solid, consistent, loving, caring friend. Very bright and sparky too! I lost touch when we left Cornwall when I was 18. But she always held a special place in my heart. What a precious and lovely life.

Deeply saddened to hear this news. Anne was a wonderful lady, who helped so many families, going above and beyond and always sharing her kindness. It was a pleasure to work alongside her. She will be so missed xx

I was so sorry to hear about Anne, such a terrible loss for her family.
She was the most selfless person I have ever met and always put the children’s needs first.
I was quite unhappy when I left my job at at Black Torrington School, but she sent me a wonderfully kind message reminding how many children I had helped over the years.

Anne was the kindest, gentlest, and warmest Tawny Owl - I remember her being so present at school events, trips, and honestly, being one of the cool and lovely mums at the school gate.

Just a couple of years ago I saw Anne and Emily in Bude at Pride, I had not seen Anne for so many years but she was just as warm and wonderful as she always had been. My mum had left about 15 minutes earlier, and I knew how gutted she would have been to have missed seeing her, so I called her and she drove back just so she could see Anne for a quick hello, and a hug. I think she was the kind of person that you just wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to see, even if it was for just a few minutes.

Sending all my love to Martin, Emily, Liam, and all the family X

Sending the most amount of love to Martin, Emily, Liam and family.
The fondest memories of her as my Tawny Owl at Brownies many years ago. So very many children, including now my own, and adults have been blessed over the years to have been guided by her ❤️
