In loving memory of Martin Ainsley Branton, a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandad and friend.

Martin will be deeply missed and always remembered for his kind, considerate and gentle personality.

Sadly, Martin was diagnosed with young onset dementia in 2017. The family received much support from ADSS to help him live the best life he could. We hope those who knew him will remember his warm smile and the twinkle in his eye before this cruel disease took him from us far too early.

Please donate generously to help this amazing charity continue their invaluable work.

From the bottom of my heart I am writing to thank all you wonderful family, friends and neighbours for the wonderful farewell you helped me give Martin. He would have enjoyed every minute of it though would have been so embarrassed about all the beautiful words that were said about him and the love that was so evident on the day.
Thank you too for your very generous donations to ADSS. We have raised the fantastic sum of £3496.25 that I know will be used to help people living in the area with dementia.
Much love and thanks to everyone of you as I begin the rest of my life without him. xx

What a beautiful send off for Martin! I met Martin after he was diagnosed with dementia. The man I met was kind, gentle and had a cheeky sense of humour, it was so nice to hear that Martin had been like that all of his life. I hope Eileen knows what a wonderful wife she was to Martin during his life with dementia, and I'm sure before then too. She ensured he lived the best life he could, as well as always making sure he looked smart! Love to you all at this difficult time xxx

Many fond memories of times spent with Uncle Martin, always a smile on his face and a deep booming laugh following close behind! From losing grandma Agnes at Chatham Historic Dockyard (eventually found in the cafe), to times spent playing in the garden at New Ash Green, to a house move for grandma and grandad planned with military precision!

Although I only knew Martin after the cruel dementia had begun to take its toll it was obvious what a talented and truly gentle soul he was. Will remember the dancing at ADSS and much more. Rest in peace now.

Martin was an amazing brother in law, he always made you feel that he was genuinely interested in what you had to say and I’m convinced that he would have treated the King and the lowliest of workers with the same courtesy and kindness. I remember him too for his faith in the Lord. Our loss is Gods gain. Rest in peace, Martin, your work here is done!
