In loving memory of Denis Gordon Carey who sadly passed away on 11th January 2024

My Dad my hero my best friend
Has sadly died
He was married
Had 2 children
He had 3 sisters and 1 brother
He led a fairly quiet life in his retirement years but before that was in the fire brigade where he made good friends and we all became a family of the fire service he was part of a team who helped people and saved lives for that reason he was my hero
He loved gardening and was extremely good at it growing fruits and vegetables which were very tasty
He bought me up from the age of 11 and was amazing he cleaned and cooked - his lemon meringue pie being a favourite of mine
Shopping in Bromley once in a while making sure I had everything I needed and going on holiday in Bournemouth and coming on holiday with myself and Nigel was a giggle especially when he got up on the dance floor
He became a fantastic grandad to mine and Nigels son Matthew whom he doted on and was a rock of strength when Matthew was poorly for the first year of his life
Dad passed away very peacefully

Thank you everyone for coming today it's much appreciated
