Family gatherings won’t ever be the same without Uncle Chris. Growing up, he was always there with a funny joke or off the cuff comment that inevitably had us all in fits of laughter. There was never a dry eye from all the laughing! Thank you for being such an amazing, fun uncle and creating lots of memories we will never forget. I’m saddened that Daisy never got to meet her Great Uncle, but she will definitely hear about all the funny stories! Love Deanna, Lewis, Tom and Daisy Xx

Back in the day, myself and the three amigo’s out on the streets for May Day demonstrations. Sadly we said goodbye to Ian ‘Hutch’ a year ago and now Chris too. I wanted to share this as another example of how Chris always ‘turned up’ for these occasions…

I worked with Chris as a police officer on traffic and in Gloucester. We also had some great times with him and Dawn socially with many other colleagues. A great friend. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there today. Condolences to the family.

I loved a catch up over a beer at a family get together. You always made time to say hello and even had time for a story or two with a smile. I know just how very proud you were of all your family around you. Thanks a million & keep smiling up there x x

Mate. Words can not express how much you mean to our family. You have always been there, not always in the forefront, but there, non theless. Your laughs, your jokes, your seriousness. You were the man that cared for your family and others before yourself. A man that had time if you had an issue and needed a talk. A man that never backed down. A man that still, as I write this makes me bloody cry.
So rest easy Chris. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Chris and I worked together when he first joined the Police Traffic Division at Bamfurlong. We had many good times together and I remember Chris as someone who always did the best for everyone we met. It is therefore with deep sadness and great shock that I learn of his passing. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Dawn and family. Rest peacefully Chris.

What a man! From the first moment of meeting Chris, I was made to feel welcome and part of the family. From his attempts to teach me how to DIY (I’m still awful at it and he had the patience of a saint!) to converting me into watching F1 and taking an interest in rugby, he has been amazing. His generosity of time and advice have been invaluable. I’ll miss his smile and twinkle in his eye. I’m losing more than a father in law, I’m losing a friend, a mate, a confidante. If Thatchers made Father in Laws, Chris would have been the mould. Love you Chris.

Cherished memories of nearly 50 years
Tears of laughter over ciders & beers
Looking back & remembering our fun days
Regular get togethers & the Bank Holiday Mondays

Camping in The Lakes, a time we fondly recall
A week of fun & boy, didn’t the rain fall!
And then to Morocco on an 18/30
Noisy neighbours & Chris got shorty
Table football with Mustapha, the local
Caused Chris to get particularly vocal!

We all met as aspiring Dark Horses
Then our lives led us down different courses.
And to all recently re-connect & spend time together
Memories that we will all treasure forever ❤️

So sorry we can’t be with you but we will be thinking of you ❤️❤️

I have such fond memories of Uncle Chris when I was growing up. He was always so fun and cool and often instigated us ‘breaking the rules’ 🤗 when I think of this the most poignant example is when he took me for a spin on his police bike round the block (probably exceeding the speed limit too). As a youngster that was the coolest moment ever. Thanks for being my cool Uncle Chris, for your love as a great uncle to my boys and as a supportive brother to mum.

There are no words to do Chris Justice I was very Fortunate to call him my Brother-in-law the past 20years there are so many memories from a Family meal that turned into a pee fight to opening up expensive bottle of wine last year . Chris had the most infectious personality that drew you and everybody else around you in he has left A monumental, Mark On all those that worked with them and us as a family . The phrase gone, but not forgotten could never be more true I am not just lost my brother-in-law I have lost my friend I will raise a glass or two of 🍺🍺 Forever in my thoughts
