It is such a shock that a man that I grew up with through school, and had many a good laugh, wild times as a teenager, and great a great memory of John coming on Holiday with my parents and I to Cornwall. Although I had not seen John for many years, those good times will always be there, and will never fade. You rest in peace my long lost friend, that maybe we will meet again and catch up on all those good times. You were such a great friend and a pleasure to know.

I had the pleasure of meeting John at Westward where we worked in the same team and blessed to have became good friends. John would always have a cheeky smile on his face which was very infectious and always loved a good joke and banter. Sending love to your family xx

On behalf of Exeter City Council, I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to John`s family and friends at this very difficult time. My colleagues and I were deeply saddened to hear about John`s passing. John joined the City Council`s Housing Service in 2018 but I believe that he had worked for the Council on a couple of occasions previously. He was a valued member of staff, working tirelessly to maintain the condition of our council houses and improving the lives of our tenants. Rest in peace John.
