It is with great sadness; we announce the loss of our beloved Wife and Mother Barbara Power. Barbara passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the 5th of January 2024 at St Margaret's Hospice in Taunton following a battle with cancer. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Words cannot describe how much we will miss her. She lit up every room with a sunny smile and always knew how to make people laugh. We know that she touched many lives, and we are devastated to have to break this news. She was well loved and will be missed by many.
We cannot thank the staff at St Margaret’s Hospice enough for their exceptional care of looking after Barbara, they made her, and the family feel so comfortable and supported throughout her stay. There was not anything they would not do for us. We honestly believe that the marvellous care she received, along her own sheer determination is what enabled her to be here for Christmas and New year. The facilities were excellent, and the environment was so calming.
The funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, Huish Episcopi, Langport TA10 9QR on 9th February 2024 at 12pm and then onto the funeral reception at Long Sutton Golf Club, Long Load, Langport TA10 9JU.
All who knew and loved Barbara are welcome to celebrate her life.

Good night God Bless Lady P, to the world you were one person but to me you were the world not just my Mum (I never called you my mum in law) but you were my best friend. I’m so grateful to have had you in my life and I will miss you so much xx
