Stan was a friend for most of our lives, we could even shake hands across the fence dividing both of our back gardens as kids. Football was our great passion as teenagers, we played together for Twydall United boys. We went to the same secondary school, Woodlands Road, for 5 years. We were not close in recent years, I lived abroad for a long time, but it was always good fun to meet up with Stan and reminisce. RIP old friend.
