Peter Fitzsimmons (29 Jan 1944 - 29 Dec 2023)

In loving memory of Peter Fitzsimmons who sadly passed away on 29th December 2023.

Peter Fitzsimmons, a loving husband, dad, brother, grandad, great grandad, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones, on 29th December 2023, aged 79 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was a loving and caring husband to Jean, married for 21 years before her passing in 1988, and greatly loved by his children Gail and Glenn.

He is survived by Olwyn, his second wife to whom he was lovingly married for 33 years, and will be greatly missed by her, his children, his sister and brother in law Doreen and Malcolm and many relatives and friends.

He always had a smile on his face, never a bad word, and was always full of dad jokes and stories. He enjoyed golf, football with his grandsons Toby and Max, spending time with his family and time at the caravan.

A funeral service and cremation will be held on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 11am. West Chapel, Overdale Crematorium, Bolton, BL1 5BU.
Afterwards at Bolton Golf Club, Chorley New Road, Lostock, Bolton BL6 4AJ

He wanted this to be a celebration of his life, and a bright coloured dress code preferred please, as was his request.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marie Curie in his memory.
