In loving memory of Robert Barry Twist who sadly but peacefully passed away on 13th December 2023.
Known by many as Barry, he had a kind heart and soul and always had a positive outlook on all things. He loved to travel and find new experiences, he loved steam trains and had been on as many as he could find, including the Flying Scotsman which was a real treat. The photo was taken this year, on the Bolton Abbey Steam Train where he had Afternoon tea in First Class for his birthday - he loved it. Barry enjoyed numerous sports over the years; badminton, tennis and then later took up bowling with wife Beryl, they enjoyed many years of indoors and green bowls together. Eventually becoming unable to participate himself he became an avid watcher of all football, darts and snooker championships and teatime quiz games. His other hobby was his garden, he was well known for his green fingers, being able to grow roots on any twig and end up with a tree. He loved to pass on his knowledge and expertise to his family, friends and neighbours and never ceased to amaze with his potting abilities...a garden wizard indeed.

He was an absolute fighter to the end, with never a bad
word, moan or groan about anything or anyone, a kind gentle man who will be greatly missed.
