It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Dugald MacCallum share the news of his passing at home, aged 89, on December 3rd 2023.
Ken developed a love of fishing, wildfowling being on the water and spirit of adventure, through his childhood in Pembrokeshire and a brief stint in Singapore.
After completing his education at Pembroke Grammar school, Ken travelled the world with the Merchant Navy, achieving the rank of Master Mariner FG, developed a career in academia and as an international consultant in the field of Hydrographic Surveying and Marine Geophysics.
Ken is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn, who he met while docked in South Shields in 1961, his son David, daughter Cathryn, grandchildren Nasir, Haniiya, Alexander and Rebecca and great grandson Jamil.
The funeral service will be held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth,
on Wednesday 20th December 2023 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family request charitable donations are made to the R.N.L.I Angle Lifeboat c/o E.C. Thomas & Son Funeral Directors
I am very sad to learn of Ken’s passing, so late. I have such fond memories of our time together in St Germans, where I remain to this day, and remember him with great affection. My condolences to you all as you navigate this difficult time.
