David Matthew Berkeley (2 Apr 1958 - 21 Nov 2023)

In loving memory of David Matthew Berkeley who sadly passed away on 21st November 2023
David lived with cancer for 11years. He had many rounds of chemo over that time. In March he fell and broke his hip and it all spiral out of control since then. Treatment was stopped in June and he was referred to havens hospice .
He had many trips to Southend hospital and finally his conditions got the better of him .
He was admitted to havens on the 16th November and passed on the 21st with myself and Ellie by his side. We never left him that week we sat there with him.
He will be so missed by them at loved him.
He was a kind caring man who was so proud of Ellie and all her achievements.
Want to thank fair haven for all there care they gave David and ourselves over that week, gave me the opportunity to be David‘s wife and not his carer. All the staff there from the Doctors down to the kitchen the cleaners everybody couldn’t do enough for you you deserve a million pound a month. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
