In loving memory of Trevor Roberts who sadly passed away unexpectedly, at home, on 19th November 2023 aged 82. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon.

All are devastated, deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.

Trevor was born in Bristol before moving to Wales as a young boy.

He had an immense passion for his work and always took great pride in all that he did.

After studying at Crumlin and Crosskeys technical colleges, he became an Electrical Engineer and went on to work at Beynon’s Colliery, British Steel, and Semtex Dunlop.

In 1975 he joined the Copperbelt Power Company and then subsequently joined the Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco) which led to him working abroad for several years. In 1989 he joined Peterborough Software where he met Sharon, they married and moved to Nottingham.

Trevor lived life to the full and was a kind, generous and loving man. He made everyone who knew him laugh with his various antics and the stories he told.

He had a keen interest in all things Astrological especially star gazing, as well as enjoying a steam train ride whenever he could. After his daily Costa visit (or two) he would often be found in the garden or pottering in his workshop listening to his favourite music on Classic FM.

We will miss him more than words can say.

We were sorry to hear this sad news. I first met Trevor when he came to my French evening classes, then our paths crossed again at work at Peterborough Software. He had a great sense of humour and was always so cheerful. I still remember how he kept teasing me about the speeding ticket I got one lunchtime… he’d happened to drive past as I’d been stopped in front of Thorpe Hall. There was no way I was able to keep it quiet and everyone got to know about it! Trevor will be missed. Our thoughts are with Sharon and his family. Odile & Tom x

Trevor was one of the first people I met when I started at Peterborough Software in 1994. I spent many a happy hour learning all about PS2000 Release 1 with Trevor who was a very patient teacher. He had a brilliant sense of humour and was fun to be around. I'm so very sorry for your loss and am thinking of you at this difficult time.

For Trevor, with love

I’m so sad to hear this news. Trevor is one of the kindest and most supportive people I’ve ever known. I’ll always remember my very first day at Peterborough Software, when he spotted me flailing around trying to turn on my pc and wheeled his chair over to me... that lovely Welsh lilt in my ear, ‘You’ve not used a computer before have you, my love?’ followed by gently showing me the box under the desk where ‘the computer keeps its brains’. Our lunch time walks and chats, his funny stories (like the hilarities created by his neighbour continually calling out his name – until he realised his neighbour’s dog was called Trevor), the way my dog, Charlie, loved it when ‘Uncle Trevor’ came to visit. A lovely man. Warmest thoughts to you Sharon at this very, very sad time.

Donating this in memory of Trevor. Although I only met him a couple of times I feel like I knew him well, through the wonderful insights which Sharon shared. All my love to you Sharon at this time xx

We're so sorry to hear this sad news. Our love and thoughts are with you, Sharon.
I remember on my first day at Peterborough Software in 1997 when Personnel would put a photo of newcomers on a post in each wing.
I walked past my photo and someone had drawn a moustache on my face. Yes, it was Trevor. We laughed about it for a long time afterwards.
Trevor was such a happy, funny man and he will be missed by all.
Steve and Micky
xx
