In loving memory of Dennis Priestley, who sadly passed away on 15th November 2023. A wonderful man, taken from us too soon.

This webpage has been created primarily to provide details of the funeral service and other ways to remember Den. The family welcome all who would like to attend the funeral service (details on this page), which will celebrate his life, and afterwards at The Mortimer Arms (Romsey Rd, Ower, Romsey SO51 6AF).

The family ask that people come with any photos, as well as happy and funny stories of Den, which they would very much like to see/hear on the day. There will also be a memories book which people can add these too.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that anyone who wishes to, please instead contribute to the Wessex Heartbeat charity in Den's name, who do incredible work.

Dennis was the architect for our homeless Community Emmaus Hampshire which opened in 2009. I have only just learnt that he had died which has saddened me. He was so helpful and encouraging when things were a real struggle raising the money etc.,
so I wanted to put a little note of appreciation here.

Lots of fond memories of Den, when our children grew up together. All the holidays, socialising and good fun we had. Boys have fond memories of playing cricket with you and your sense of humour. Taken too soon.
Rest in Peace Den

Dennis was a fantastic employer, he took a chance on me, an inexperienced architects assistant after I spent a few years in the wilderness aka pub trade. I definitely would not be where I am without his trust. Thank you for the chance.

Dennis was a great person and fantastic boss. It was Dennis who encouraged me to stay and continue my architecture course in the UK- since then I always called him my architecture dad which he always laughed he would rather be called the ‘architecture godfather’, so we settled on that. I always liked his great sense of humour. He will be very much missed. RIP architecture Godfather
